A charity hockey game that took place in Rocky Mountain House Saturday night was a huge success.
The game played between groups of first responders saw Rocky RCMP take on Clearwater Regional Fire Rescue Services in a bid to raise money for The Lord’s Food Bank.
The Rocky RCMP came away the victors with a 7-6 shootout win.
In total, $4,911.91 was raised for The Lord’s Food Bank. $3421.91 was raised through ticket sales, 50/50 raffle, door prizes, and silent auction items.
Another $1,490.00 was raised through a haircut fundraiser by a member of the Rocky Firemans Association that will see him sport the fashionable forehead moustache hairstyle.
