The Wild Rose School Division (WRSD) has contracted a third party organization to conduct an independent organizational review of WRSD operations.
Officials say, the WRSD Board of Trustees and senior administration are committed to ensuring the Division is operating as efficiently and effectively as possible in the best interests of the children they serve.
Officials note, in September 2022, the WRSD made the decision to contract Deloitte Canada to conduct an independent organizational review of WRSD operations.
During the month of October, Deloitte gathered extensive data from the WRSD regarding the division’s organizational structure, role descriptions, policies, procedures, enrollment, communications, budget and spending.
Deloitte held interviews with the Board of Trustees, members of the senior leadership team and all school administrators. Surveys were sent to all school staff, division office staff, school councils and 10 other Alberta school divisions that are similar in size and makeup to WRSD.
Deloitte then analyzed all of this data and came up with 11 recommendations (see WRSD Organizational & Operational Review Report for details). Officials say the Board and administration are currently developing a comprehensive action plan to address each of the recommendations from the report.
The WRSD thanks staff and school councils for taking time to contribute to this process.
The WRSD says they hear you, and your feedback will be used to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of their school division as they continue to pursue their mission of providing powerful learning environments in all of their schools and communities.
