Clearwater County has issued a Wildfire Alert for the Nordegg area.
The Evacuation ALERT in Clearwater County is NOT in effect for all of the County. The alert remains in effect for a specific region in the County, including everyone west of Beaverdam Provincial Recreation Area and east of the Bighorn Dam, this includes the hamlet of Nordegg.
Alberta Wildfire is responding to RWF031 within Clearwater County. The wildfire is approximately 80 hectares and 18km southeast of Nordegg and 20km southeast of the Bighorn First Nation.
Remain prepared to evacuate with enough items to keep you and your family and pets conformable for at least 72 hours. The evacuation alert is in place to be extra cautious given the extreme fire hazard and weather conditions making firefighting operations challenging.

- Wildfire RWF-034 is located near the O’Chiese Reserve. It is classified as out of control at 51,000 hectares.
