The UCP’s Jason Nixon has been re-elected as the MLA for Rimbey-Rocky Mountain House-Sundre.
Nixon said he is very excited to receive another mandate from the people of the riding and he’s very humbled by it.
“I’m very grateful to the people of our community and the trust they have put in me and I promise I won’t let them down. I’m really looking forward to getting to work on some of the key issues for the next four years in our riding,” added Nixon.
He notes, “ I think it’s very clear on what Albertans want, to see a government that is still very much focused on the economy and tackling the biggest issue that we’ve heard this campaign and that is the cost of living, affordability and the inflation crisis.”
Nixon shares his first priority is always hard to pick in a riding that is this big.
“I heard loud and clear this campaign that we are seeing people struggle, particularly fixed income seniors and others with what is taking place with inflation on the affordability side. That is among one of the highest priorities not only for me, but for the government to be able to make sure we tackle that, so all Albertans can live comfortably in our province.”
“I really appreciate their support,” he continues. “And I want them to rest assure that I’m going to continue to work tirelessly each and every day to be able to defend them in Edmonton, and make sure we have the best community in the province.”
