DEVELOPING: Shelter in place for O’Chiese First Nation as police seek armed male

RCMP in Rocky Mountain House have issued a shelter in place order for O’Chiese First Nation due to an armed male.

Mounties said just before 7 p.m. on Wednesday that they are currently searching for Elijah Strawberry, 21, who is reported to be armed with multiple firearms, on O’Chiese First Nation. Earlier today, Strawberry allegedly entered a residence and discharged a firearm, police say.

RCMP are thus advising residents of O’Chiese First Nation to shelter in place.

If you see Elijah Strawberry, call 911 immediately. DO NOT APPROACH.
