Rocky Mountain House RCMP have rescinded the Police Initiated Public Alert (shelter in place) for O’Chiese First Nation. However, RCMP say the suspect is still at large.
RCMP believe the immediate threat to public safety has subsided but Mounties remain at O’Chiese First Nation searching for the suspect.
Police believe the suspect is Shaeden Muskeg, 24, who is described as:
- Medium complexion
- 5’9” tall
- 200 lbs
- Black hair
- Brown eyes
RCMP say Shaeden Muskeg has warrants for his arrest from a Sept. 13, 2023, incident on Sunchild First Nation where he was charged with:
- Discharge a firearm with intent
- Robbery with a firearm
- Aggravated assault
- Possession of a firearm contrary to order.
RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Shaeden Muskeg. Mounties say Muskeg is considered armed and dangerous. If seen, Do not approach, please call 911 immediately.
