A member of the Rocky Chamber has been awarded the Executive of the Year.
Michelle Meatheringham received the Executive of the Year award on Oct. 12, 2023, at the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Canada (CCEC).
“Our award recipients are among the greatest Chamber leaders in Canada, and have demonstrated strong membership growth, sustainable financial management, outstanding performance in Chamber management, and an unwavering commitment to their local business community,” said Deneen Belliveau, CCEC’s Executive Director.
Meatheringham said “I am honoured to have received this award and fortunate enough to have a staff board, chamber network and family who have supported me in this recognition to get where we are today for serving out membership.”
“Michelle’s references noted that while their sold-out event was considered “the best awards night ever” by attendees, Michelle leveraged the opportunity to draw attention and support for her local business community.”
Award criteria noted management, excellence in the field and contribution and innovation.
“The Chamber board congratulates and acknowledges the tremendous success and achievement of receiving this award. We are grateful to have Michelle as our Executive Director and appreciate her hard work and dedication in serving our membership,” said Ken Akerboom, Rocky Chamber President.
The award nomination was supported by the Rocky Chamber board of directors, staff and The Honourable Jason Nixon, MLA for Rimbey – Rocky Mountain House – Sundre and Minister of Seniors, Community and Social Services.
