The Town of Rocky Mountain House has announced the new town councillor after yesterday’s municipal by-election.
According to the Town, Ken Moesker will fill the vacant councillor position. The election comes after the resignation of former councillor Shane Boniface on Nov. 7, 2023.
The unofficial numbers provided by the Town of Rocky Mountain show a total of 534 votes, they are as followed:
- Ken Moesker – 192
- Sarah Fotty – 142
- Anna-Marie Loomis – 92
- Glen Waskewitch – 73
- Stella Herron – 35
The unofficial voting numbers of each day show:
- Advanced voting Feb. 8 – 44 total votes
- Advanced voting Feb. 24 – 153 total votes
- Election day voting Feb. 26 – 337 total votes
