Rocky Mountain House RCMP are investigating a suspicious death on O’Chiese First Nation.

On April 30, 2024, officers responded to a report of a deceased male at a residence on the First Nation.

Upon arrival, officers located the deceased person.

Based on the initial investigation, RCMP believe the cause of death is suspicious.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit was deployed and has taken carriage of the investigation.

RCMP note the deceased has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner where an autopsy is scheduled for May 2.
