Clearwater County Regional Fire Rescue Services (CRFRS) crews will be conducting training burns at the Station 10 Leslieville Training Facility on May 4 & 5, 2024.
Clearwater County Regional Fire Rescue Services, John Liadis, says smoke will be visible from the training tower off and on over the weekend.
“If people are driving by the area, this is something that is normal practice,” says Liadis. “If neighbours see smoke and fire in the area, it’s of no concern.”
Liadis says the training tower is a special closed compound where firefighters can do training exercises such as rope rescues, live fire, search & rescue and confined space rescues.
He adds that all precautions will be in place, and the fire will be controlled.
