According to a post on its Facebook page, Parks Canada announced that camping reservations through its organization will be cancelled for the rest of summer vacation in Jasper National Park.
Reservations have been cancelled up to to September 3, 2024
Officials say full refunds will automatically be provided to those who have already booked, but advise patience as it will likely be delayed.
For anyone who has booked, there is no need for further action on the part of visitors for these cancellations and refunds.
On July 29, Federal Environment Minister, Steven Guilbeault said a staged re-entry plan for those residents displaced by the wildfire is being developed, although he did not give a timeline.
Parks Canada officials say if anyone wishes to cancel additional future bookings they can call the reservation line at-877-737-3783, or by clicking here.
