Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit is investigating a suspicious death on O’Chiese First Nation.

On Jan. 28, shortly after midnight, Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a 911 call reporting a shooting at a residence on O’Chiese First Nation.

Upon arrival, police say they discovered a deceased male. According to Mounties, the body has been transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner, and the death is now being investigated as a homicide.

The Alberta RCMP Major Crimes Unit (MCU) has taken over the investigation.

Police say further information will be provided once available.
