Family Day celebrations to take place at skating oval in Rocky Mountain House

Family Day celebrations are scheduled to take place at the skating oval in Rocky Mountain House on Monday, Feb. 17.

The free event will feature skating at the oval, hot chocolate, cookies, and a skating disco.

Other winter-themed activities include snow painting and family challenges.

Also, organizers say there will be a chili cookoff— and you can participate. Submit your entry by emailing events@trmh.ca by Feb. 14.

Additionally, the town is seeking volunteers to help with the day— email events@trmh.ca for more.

The event is organized by Rocky’s new Community Events Committee, which helped organize 2024 events such as Alberta Day Celebrations and the Christmas Tree Light-Up at Helen Hunley Memorial Park.

The Family Day Celebration is set to happen from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. at the skating oval just east of the Rocky Rec Centre (5303 50 St., Rocky Mountain House)
