Everyone is invited to take a new joint survey from Clearwater County and the Wild Rose School Division to help develop a plan that will enhance cooperation on future school site selections, decommissioning outdated facilities, and sharing recreational amenities.
This plan, known as the Joint Use and Planning Agreement (JUPA), aims to maximize the use of shared, local resources while benefiting the public and promoting community growth.
Clearwater County Reeve Michelle Swanson says keeping people active and maximizing benefits of local recreation facilities now will save on costs and other burdens on the health care system down the road.
Included in the JUPA are various facilities within Clearwater County and the Wild Rose School Division. School facilities such as gymnasiums, sports fields, and gathering areas at schools near Charlotte Small Elementary, David Thompson High School, and Caroline High School are included.
Municipal facilities like ball diamonds, soccer pitches, parks, fire halls, and skating rinks in Leslieville, Condor, and Caroline are also part of the plan.
The ultimate goal of the JUPA is to streamline the use of resources, maximizing recreational space accessibility while minimizing duplication of services.
Survey questions pertain to how often you use school and municipal facilities in Leslieville, Condor and Caroline, to what improvement you might suggest.
The survey is open until April. Click here to take it now.
