It’s that time of year again! Residents are invited to the 4th Annual Easter on Main Street on April 12 in Rocky Mountain House.
The event will feature photos with the Easter Bunny, an egg hunt, and a scavenger hunt.
Kids are invited to bring their Easter baskets, as well as a pencil to take part in the street-wide egg hunt, where thousands of candy eggs will be hidden. You can also follow clues for a contactless scavenger hunt along Main Street. Organizers say a link to the scavenger sheet and prize details will made available before the event.
Before the event, local businesses and community members can help by donating prizes, candy, or small items for the event. Larger items will be used for the scavenger hunt or door prizes, and smaller items will be given at a prize table for children who find special eggs. Candy or printed coupons for local business that fit inside plastic eggs are also welcomed.
Volunteers are needed in several areas, including as crossing guards (Safety Bunnies), egg hiders (Egg Deployment Squads), and bunny dancers to add extra fun to the event. If you’re interested in volunteering or donating, please call 403-845-7354. Prizes and candy can be dropped off at Burly Beard Tattoo Studio on Main. St.
Organizer Cynthia McCaughley says last year was a huge success with about 900 participants, over 40 easter baskets given away, and over 17,000 stuffed eggs.
McCaughley adds 2025 will mark the fourth official Easter on Main with the first unofficial event taking place in 2020, which was an outdoor parade featuring the Easter Bunny during the pandemic.
The Easter Bunny’s helpers will be out front of Burly Beard Tattoo Studio, where you can pick up your scavenger hunt form and start the hunt.
The fun will happen from 12-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 12 in Rocky Mountain House.
