Qualifying residents in Rocky Mountain House can get some free help in filing their income taxes.
The assistance comes through the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP) with Clearwater Family and Community Support Services (FCSS).
The program is designed to help individuals with modest incomes and simple tax situations. Volunteers will also ensure applicants receive any benefits and credits they’re eligible for.
To qualify, your income must be:
-
$35,000 per year for individuals
-
$45,000 per year for couples
-
An additional $2,500 for each child in the household
If you meet the eligibility criteria, you can access this service at no cost. If interested, you can contact the CRFCSS Volunteer Centre today at 403-845-5270 or email fcsscoordinator@trmh.ca to find out more.
