The highly anticipated Taste of Rocky event is back for its second year, bringing together the best local businesses, entrepreneurs, and food lovers for an evening of culinary delight and learning opportunities
Hosted by Discover Rocky, the event kicks off with a business workshop from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on April 4, designed to help entrepreneurs and businesses learn how to market and share their unique stories. The free event offers local businesses the tools and insights to grow their brand, improve their storytelling, and engage with their customers more effectively. While the workshop is open to all local businesses and entrepreneurs, they’re asked to RSVP by contacting team@discoverrocky.ca.
The second part of the event, the much-anticipated Taste of Rocky, will run from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Rival Trade Brewing Co. With around 10 local restaurants already confirmed, organizers say the event promises a diverse and exciting selection of culinary delights. Attendees will have the chance to sample dishes from participating restaurants and enjoy live music by local artist Cole Martin.

Matt Lambert, Co-chair of Discover Rocky, said last year’s inaugural event was a huge success, recalling how the overwhelming response led them to rush back to town to restock food supplies. “It was one of the most successful events we’ve had,” says Lambert. “Rival Trade even mentioned it as one of their best events yet.”
This year, the event is expected to be even larger. “We’ve got 10 restaurants confirmed, but we could see even more joining in,” Lambert adds. “With that many participants, it’s definitely going to be a big event. I recommend people get there early to make sure they don’t miss out.”
While workshop participants are asked to RSVP, Taste of Rocky is free to attend, and no RSVP is necessary. Lambert says participants can simply show up, enjoy the atmosphere, and sample delicious offerings from some of Rocky Mountain House’s finest culinary establishments.
Lambert says organizers are grateful to the restaurants, volunteers, and the Discover Rocky team for making this event possible. “A huge thank you to the local restaurants for their participation, and to Rival Trade for hosting us. It’s all about building a stronger community and supporting our local businesses.”
