Tim Horton’s Smile Cookie week is officially underway, and at the two Rocky locations, 100 per cent of proceeds are once again going to support the Rocky Health Foundation.
This year, proceeds from the new “ooey-gooey” $2 chocolate chunk cookies, along with sales of a new $5 reversible cookie plush toy, will go toward the Foundation’s “Heart of the Community” campaign — an effort to raise $444,000 for new cardiac monitors across the Rocky Health Centre. The equipment is expected to improve emergency response times and support advanced patient care throughout the hospital.

Foundation Treasurer Dale Shippelt joined Rewind Radio’s Simon & Friends early Monday morning to promote the fundraiser. Volunteers will be on-site throughout the week helping to decorate cookies, with pre-order forms available here for local businesses or individuals looking to buy in bulk. Pickup times can be scheduled at either of the two Rocky Mountain House Tim Hortons locations.
The Rocky Health Foundation was once again selected as the 2025 Smile Cookie charity partner by local Tim Hortons owners — the Graham and Doucette families — following a record-breaking campaign last year.
In 2024, the campaign sold 16,604 cookies and raised $25,107.45. Funds from that campaign went toward equipping the newly opened operating room at the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre.

This year’s funds will support the purchase of new heart monitors — from mobile telemetry units to neonatal monitors — along with two central station systems for acute care and the emergency department. The Foundation had previously purchased two monitors in 2021, which are now being upgraded.
Donations for ‘Heart of the Community’ are still being accepted here, with charitable tax receipts issued for all donations over $10.
Smile Cookie week runs April 28 to May 4, with 100 per cent of proceeds staying in the community.
