UPDATE: Missing youth from O’Chiese First Nation located deceased

Rocky Mountain House RCMP report that Cory Gopher-Desjarlais has been located deceased. At this time, Mounties say her death appears to be non criminal.

RCMP express their heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the deceased.

RCMP in Rocky Mountain House are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing 17-year-old last seen earlier this month.

Cory Dawn Gopher-Desjarlais was reported missing on May 23. RCMP say she was last seen on May 7 in O’Chiese First Nation, located northwest of Rocky Mountain House.

Cory is described as five-foot-five and 120 pounds, with medium-length brown hair.

Police are urging anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Rocky Mountain House RCMP detachment at 403-845-2881.
