Home sales in Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County continued to be strong in May, seeing double-digit sales numbers once again.
That’s according to the latest Market Update from Central Alberta Realtors Association, which shows a total of 10 units sold in May in Rocky Mountain House, down from 14 sold in April, and 18 sold in May of 2024.
There have been 45 units sold so far this year, tracking with the 46 sold in the same time frame last year.
The average sale price in Rocky Mountain House last month was $291,690, down from $357,182 in April, and down slightly from just over $300,000 in May 2024.
Meantime, the average number of days to sell a home in Rocky Mountain House in May was 26, down sharply from a 51 day average in April, and down from 77 days in May of last year.
In Clearwater County, meantime, 31 units sold in May, up from 26 sold in April, and 30 sold in May 2024.
Year-to-date (YTD) numbers shows 103 units sold so far this year. Last year, it took until June for the YTD number to eclipse 100 (117), up from 86 units sold during the first four months of 2024.
The average sale price in Clearwater County in May was $511,542, way up from $484,171 in April, and $395,630 in May 2024.
The average number of days to sell a home in Clearwater County last month was 42 days, down slightly from 45 days in April and 86 days during May last year.
In the entire central Alberta region, there were 641 units sold in May, up from 500 units in April, and up slightly from 632 units sold in May last year.
Year-to-date numbers show 2,167 units sold in central Alberta during the first five months of this year, down from 2,298 units sold to this point last year.
The average sale price throughout the central Alberta region last month was $431,858, down slightly from $432,446 in April.
