Rocky Mountain House businesses have come together to once again present downtown’s scariest event of the year– Halloween on Main Street.
Organizer Cynthia McCaughley says families are invited to show off their costumes and enjoy safe, business to business trick or treating.
Additionally, participants are invited to get their official Halloween on Main Street stamp card. After getting their card, participants will then visit participating Main St. businesses for a chance to win prizes.
The event was been extremely well received in years past, says McCaughley, as upwards of 1,000 people show up on Main Street along with 800 trick or treaters.
According to a social media post, it’ll be fun not only for kids, but grown ups too.
Along with treats and prizes, McCaughley says it’s a great opportunity to explore downtown.
“The whole intention is to get people out to explore our beautiful Main Street and to check out some of the new businesses that they may not have even noticed have popped up,” says McCaughley.

Halloween on Main Street takes place Saturday Oct. 18 from 12-2 p.m. rain or shine.
