The Rocky Rams’ goal scorers came out to play, and special teams factored in as the team picked up a win and a loss over the Nov. 7-9 weekend.
Nov. 7 @ Ponoka Stampeders
The Rams’ special teams connected as Teegan Mudryk, Owen Green and Ty Gyori all scored powerplay goals in the first half of the game.
Gyori and Keegan Landry later added even strength markers, leading the team to a 6-4 win against the Ponoka Stampeders.
Rocky goaltender Wesley McKinstry made 21 saves in the winning effort.
Nov. 8 @ Mountain View ColtsĀ
The Rams’ penalty kill stumbled in the first period as the Colts found the net twice in the first period before taking a 4-0 lead in the second period.
Teegan Mudryk and Ty Gyori mounted a would-be comeback in the latter half of the game, but it was too little, too late.
The Colts skated away with a 4-2 victory.
After a productive weekend, Rams LW Ty Gyori leads the HJHL in goals (14) and assists (19) for a combined 33 points.
Next up: Nov. 14 vs. Okotoks Bisons
The Rams will host the 8-8 Carstar Okotoks Bisons on Friday Nov. 14.
