Caroline is set to get its “glow up” on, as the community will be celebrating the annual Christmas Light Up event, Friday Dec. 5.
The annual event, which has ran for years in Caroline, features many family-friendly events near the Caroline Community Hub.
Kelly Tubbs with the Caroline Ag Society says families can enjoy activities such as public skating or a game of shinny at the arena, or a farmers market and crafts at the Community Hub.
Also, Tubbs says folks can view a selection of locally-made gingerbread houses, and vote on their favorite.
Later on at 6 p.m., Santa Claus will be dropping by for his highly-anticipated annual appearance at the event.
After kids visit with Santa, families are invited to grab a free hot chocolate, warm up by the fire, and settle in for a fireworks display starting at 8 p.m.
“Hopefully the weather’s good, and a lot of people come out to enjoy the market, the public skating, and everything else going on,” says Tubbs.
