The call is out for all central Alberta farmers to attend Farm Credit Canada’s (FCC) Young Farmer Summit, Dec. 11 in Red Deer.
The full-day event for farmers under 40 will tackle a wide variety of topics of interest to young farmers.
That includes hot topics for uncertain times such as commodity trends, dealing with tariffs and market volatility, land values, interest rates and more.
Other sessions will focus on mental health, and — even for young farmers — the importance of estate planning and asset transfer.
Organizers say having fun will be a focus of the day, even during sessions where speakers take a deep dive into the business end of farming.
The event goes Thursday Dec. 11 at the Red Deer Resort and Casino, with doors open at 9:15 a.m.
Tickets are free but limited, and can be secured here.
