The Rocky Mountain House and Nordegg areas received some of the most significant snowfall accumulations in the province from March 9-10.
That’s according to Environment & Climate Change Canada (ECCC), which shows the Rocky Mountain House area received 12 cm of snow, while Nordegg received 20 cm.
That was more than other mountain-adjacent communities such as Banff (9 cm) and Jasper (7 cm).
The most significant snowfall occurred in mountainous areas such as Bow Summit (75 cm), Lake Louise (60 cm), and Big Bend (40 cm).
Other snowfall accumulations include:
- Highwood Pass: 23 cm
- Bosworth: 21 cm
- Banff Sunshine: 18 cm
- Canmore: 15 cm
- Coleman: 12
- Bragg Creek: 12
- Maligne: 11
- Sundre: 11
- Harmattan: 11
- Lochend Lake: 10
More snow is expected in the West Country area later this week.
