Clearwater County is reminding property owners that a four per cent tax penalty will be applied to overdue accounts starting April 11, 2025.
To avoid the penalty, residents are encouraged to settle their outstanding property taxes before the deadline. After April 11, the penalty will be applied to any unpaid balances.
Taxpayers have several payment options available:
-
At Clearwater County Office: Payments can be made using cash, cheque, or debit at the county office, located at 4340 47th Avenue, Rocky Mountain House.
-
After Hours Drop Box: Cheques may be dropped off in the after-hours drop box at the front entrance of the county office.
-
Online Banking: When paying through online banking, the payee should be listed as Clearwater County Taxes, and the account number should match the taxpayer’s Tax Roll Number. It is important to ensure the payee name does not include the word “District,” which could direct the payment to BC.
-

-
Electronic File Transfer (EFT): EFT payments can be submitted by fax to 403-845-7330 or by email to accrec@clearwatercounty.ca.
