With just over two-and-a-half weeks to go before Election Day April 28, Elections Canada has finalized the list of candidates in ridings across the country.
Five confirmed candidates are running in the Yellowhead Riding:
- Vicky Bayford- People’s Party of Canada (PPC)
- Michael Fark- Liberal Party of Canada (LPC)
- Dale Heath- Christian Heritage Party of Canada (CHP)
- Avni Soma- New Democratic Party (NDP)
- William Stevenson- Conservative Party of Canada (CPC)
Five confirmed candidates are running in the Ponoka-Didsbury riding:
- Grant Abraham- United Party of Canada (UP)
- Blaine Calkins- Conservative Party of Canada (CPC)
- Larry Gratton- People’s Party of Canada (PPC)
- Logan Hooley- New Democratic Party (NDP)
- Zarnab Zafar- No Affiliation

Several candidates were shed by the Liberals and Conservatives in recent days over contentious comments ahead of the nomination deadline Monday.
