Clearwater County council is asking residents for feedback on the County’s new Strategic Plan.
County officials say the Strategic Plan acts as a guide to provide focus and purpose to what they do. Council members note it is the most important plan, as it shapes their organization, and the municipal programs and services they provide to residents.
Every four years, following municipal elections, work on the Strategic Plan begins. However, officials say strategic planning is an ongoing activity through monitoring, reporting and budgeting. Strategic planning is used to determine long-term vision and goals and to develop the action plan to achieve those goals, note Town officials.
At their Feb. 8, 2022, council meeting, officials confirmed their commitment to replace the current Strategic Plan with a new one covering the period from 2022-2026.
At their April 12 meeting, council approved in principal, a Draft Strategic Plan and have directed administration to proceed with engaging with the public for feedback.
