Alberta Wildfire officials say wildfire danger in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area remains moderate.
On June 3, the wildfire danger was downgraded from high to moderate.
Officials say areas that received more rain are seeing reduced fire danger, while others areas are seeing a higher risk.
The forecast is calling for continued scattered showers; however, warm temperatures are expected to return next week. Officials add, any moisture from this rainfall is likely to evaporate quickly, and wildfire danger is expected to rise as conditions dry out.
With that, a fire ban remains in effect for the entire West Country.
All outdoor wood fires on public and private land are prohibited. That includes campfires in backcountry and random camping areas, designated campgrounds, day use areas, and on private land.
Barbecue charcoal briquettes, along with fireworks and exploding targets are also banned.
