Clearwater County has rescheduled its upcoming virtual open house on high-speed internet expansion to June 18.
The online event was originally slated for May 28, but the county will now host two sessions on Wednesday to share updates on its Broadband Internet Project. Both sessions — scheduled for 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. — will offer residents an overview of project plans, timelines and opportunities for public feedback.
Registration is not required, and each session will feature the same content. Residents can attend by clicking here.
The initiative aims to expand access to reliable high-speed internet throughout the region, particularly in underserved rural areas.
The June 18 virtual sessions follow four in-person open houses held earlier this spring in Nordegg, Rocky Mountain House, Leslieville and Dovercourt.
The county plans to spend nearly $44 million on the broadband project this year, with around two third covered by provincial and federal grant money.
