The Caroline Early Learning and Childcare Centre is applauding a quick community response after a number of bikes were taken from the property and destroyed.
Over the weekend, a fence at the property was broken, and a number of strider and toddler bikes were taken to a nearby skatepark and left in unusable condition.
Since then, the community has sprung into action to help, says Katie White, director at the centre.
“People have donated bikes and scooters, donated money, and volunteered to help fix the fence,” says White.
At time of publishing, at least two bikes and a scooter were offered from community members, and Torrent Fluid Solutions has also presented the organization with a cheque to help cover costs.
White adds, even though its early, the community response will more than cover the cost of the damage.
The Caroline Early Learning and Childcare Centre offers care to children zero to 12 years. It also offers a school program for summer PD days, before and after school programming, and daycare for younger children.
