Local kids will have a golden opportunity to shine up and show off their two-wheeled rides during Rainbow Ford’s Kids Bike Parade and charity BBQ, Aug. 23.
The day will feature prizes, a bike decorating station, and RCMP on site with safety tips and ‘positive tickets’ for kids riding safely.
Meghan Webber, salesperson with Rainbow Ford says to come hungry, as there’ll be a charity BBQ in support of Compassionate Care Hospice Society (CCHS).
“They’ll be here with burgers and hot dogs,” she says. “Rainbow Ford will also make sure all kids eat free that day.”
While there is no formal parade, Webber says that kids are free to ride around the parking lot showing off their newly-decorated rides.
The event runs Saturday Aug. 23 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rainbow Ford.
