This is a candidate profile for Rocky Mountain House resident Tyler McCauley, who is running for Clearwater County council this fall, hoping to represent constituents in Ward 5.
Please provide a little background on yourself, including how long you’ve lived in the area.
Why do you want to run for council?
I have a passion for local politics. I’m running for council to bring common sense and practical leadership that supports residents and businesses alike, while looking towards the needs of the future.
What personal or professional experience do you feel would make you a good councillor?
I think my prior business experience combined with seasoned municipal knowledge makes me an asset for the county. At 43, I bring fresh energy, long term vision, and a deep understanding of both emerging challenges and future opportunities, while still grounded with real world experience. If elected, I will dedicate myself each day to serving the residents of Ward 5 with the same commitment, integrity, and drive that have defined my business career.
If elected, what would be a few top priorities?
Your concerns will be my priority, and your trust will be my responsibility. It’s hard to have a list of priorities and push them through on a council as an individual, a council works together as a team to tackle issues as they come up, together. I pledge to work with the other councillors to make sure your concerns are heard.
Where can people learn more about you and your priorities?
I can be contacted @ tylermccauley@gmail.com or on my cell @ 403-846-1051
Is there anything else you’d like to add?
