Clearwater County has announced that work is completed on a $2 million upgrade to the James River Bridge.
As of Sept. 8, the bridge has been reopened to traffic, although a 10-tonne weight restriction remains in place.
Back in April, county officials said the construction project would involve a range of significant repairs to the bridge, including work on the bridge deck and subdeck, abutment replacement, and the repair of the bridge rail.
In an e-mailed statement to 94.5 Rewind Radio News, Kate Reglin, capital projects supervisor with Clearwater County says the project stayed on budget, with all repairs completed within the scope of the contract.
During the course of construction, the bridge was closed to traffic with detours in place.
