Monday, October 20, is the general election day in the 2025 municipal elections.
People across Alberta will elect their next mayors, councillors, and school board trustees.
Polls will be open across the West County region from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Both the town of Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County confirm unofficial election results will be announced Monday night.

ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOUSE
In Rocky, unofficial results have Shane Boniface (1,000) elected as mayor, and Denise Boniface (717), Trevor Kalyn (676), Ken Moesker (666), Dale Shippelt (1,027), Justin Sinclair (628), and Kevin Stalker (798) as councillors.
In total, 1,555 residents cast a ballot in the 2025 general municipal election
CLEARWATER COUNTY
In Clearwater County, unofficial results have Breanne Powell (228) elected in Ward 1, Hazen Letwin (431) in Ward 2, Drew McKay (208) in Ward 3, Jordon Northcott (337) in Ward 4, Tyler McCauley (134) in Ward 5, Bryan Cermak (152) in Ward 6, and Lorne Humphrey (286) in Ward 7.
ECKVILLE
In Eckville, Mayor Colleen Ebden was acclaimed, and unofficial results have Karin Engen (126), Lindsay Holmen (134), Dwayne Meyers (98), and Collin Pacholek (107) elected as councillors.
In total, 201 of 877 eligible voters headed to the polls.

The Alberta government has enacted a new rule for municipal elections this year that prohibits electronic vote counting. Because ballots must be counted by hand, it will take a bit longer than normal to get results in some municipalities.
