Bree Prediger of Rocky Mountain House has been named to Team Alberta’s roster for the 2025 National Women’s Under-18 Championship, taking place Nov. 2–8 in Mount Pearl and Conception Bay South, N.L.
Prediger, a defenceman with the Edmonton Jr. Oilers U18 AAA, is among 20 top female athletes selected to wear the provincial colours.
This year’s squad features two goaltenders, six defencemen and 12 forwards, hailing from seven Alberta communities: Edmonton, Calgary, Airdrie, Sherwood Park, Lloydminster, Rocky Mountain House and Strathmore.
Prediger secured her place on the team following strong showings at both the U18 summer and fall selection camps, held in Red Deer.
The roster selection camp was competitive with 46 players involved in on and off-ice sessions and three scrimmages.
A shortlist of 28 took part in the Team Alberta Fall Camp in Red Deer which included games against U Sports women’s teams, including the University of Alberta and University of Calgary women’s teams.
Born in 2008, Prediger played 27 games for the Jr. Oilers during the 2024–25 season, tallying 23 points with nine goals and 14 assists.
