The Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre (CAPCC) has moved to a new location in Rocky Mountain House.
The vision of the Central Alberta Pregnancy Care Centre is to provide education and ongoing, compassionate support before, during, and after pregnancy. Officials say all programs are free, confidential, and offered in a safe and non-judgmental environment regardless of age, gender, race, or religion. These include pregnancy options support, male mentorship, baby and maternity clothing, post-abortion support, support for past sexual abuse/trauma, parenting programs and education on healthy relationships.
This non-profit organization has been serving Central Alberta since 1989. Besides their offices in Rocky Mountain House, they also have satellite offices in Red Deer, Olds, Drumheller and Stettler. Officials for CAPCC say, these offices allow men, women and families to access various support programs throughout their communities.
Officials note, in 2016, the CAPCC opened its satellite office in Rocky, but due to the overwhelming support from the community, they were able to open a larger office space in the fall of 2021.
The CAPCC is hosting an official grand opening of the new space, located at 5110 50 Avenue on Wednesday, June 22. The CAPCC is inviting the community to join them in celebrating this event. The event will run from 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. There will be an open house, refreshments and a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon.
