Dates have now been set for the first-ever Kick it to the Curb in Rocky Mountain House this year.
Kick it to the Curb is new to the community in 2022, and Town officials note there will be two designated Kick it to the Curb weekends taking place from June 18-19 and September 17- 18.
Town officials say Kick it to the Curb is a Town-wide event to help Rocky residents reduce and reuse. You can place your unwanted but usable items at the front of your property marked with a ‘FREE’ sign. Then you can explore curbsides around the community to find new-to-you treasures that are marked with a ‘FREE’ sign.
Popular ideas for Kick it to the Curb include books, DVDS, old furniture and small appliances, as well as kitchen gadgets, dishes, cutlery and pots and pans.
The rules for Kick it to the Curb are to make sure you’re items are away from anything of value in your yard. Officials encourage you to ensure your items in Kick it to the Curb are marked with a “FREE” sign, and at the end of the weekend to bring all your items inside.
