The Rocky Agricultural Society is once again accepting nominations for its annual Young Farmer Award.

Nominees must be between 18 and 39 years old, derive income from farming, and reside within Clearwater County. Consideration will also be given based on contributions to the agricultural industry.

The deadline for applications is Jan. 31, 2026.

The award will be presented at the Denim & Diamond Gala on March 6, 2026.

The  2025 Young Farmer Award was won by local farmers Harmen & Peggy Hondebrink. Cheryl Terpsma, vice president of the Rocky Ag Society said the couple was recognized for forward-focused practices on their farm east of Rocky Mountain House.
