Rocky Mountain House is hosting a community wide event for Canada Day.
Events this year start off early with a pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Rocky Museum.
Other festivities for Canada Day include:
• 10:00 a.m. – 5 p.m. – Metis cultural demonstration and visitor Centre exhibits and gift shop.
• 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Family fun entertainment, tractor wagon rides, face painting, car show artisan market, food vendors, helicopter rides, carnival games, information booths, tipi village.
• 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m. – Cultural showcase.
• 2:00 p.m. – David Thompson puppet show.
• 3:00 p.m. – Canada Day Ceremony.
• 3:30 p.m. – Happy birthday and cake cutting.
• 3:30 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. – Cultural showcase.
• 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. – Milk and Honey.
• 7:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. – Haymakers.
• 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. – Ginger snap.
• 9:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. – Carsten Rubeling – VOLK.
Wrapping up the evening at North Saskatchewan River Park at 11:30 p.m. will be a fireworks display.
