An unplanned outage left around 800 customers in the West Country without power Friday morning.
According to Fortis, the outage affected areas in Rocky Mountain House north and south of 52 ave, including Pine Wood Estates. Rural areas west of town, including Ferrier, were also affected.
As of 9 a.m. Friday morning, Fortis indicated restoration is in progress and the reason for the outage is unknown.
