Rocky Mountain House will host the first annual O’Chiese, Rocky Mountain tour 2022.

Part of the Indian National Finals Rodeo Tour, the Super Series Indian Relay and O’Chiese Rocky Mountain Qualifier will be held in Rocky this Canada Day long weekend. An official for the rodeo said, the rodeo will have all the popular events for the people of Rocky to watch, as well as the winners from this rodeo could have a chance to go to Las Vegas to compete.

Rodeo events scheduled for Friday, Saturday and Sunday afternoon include:

• Bareback

• Steer wrestling

• Saddle bronc

• Calf roping

• Barrel racing

• Ladies breakaway

• Team roping

• Bull riding

• Sr team roping

• Sr breakaway

• Jr breakaway

• Jr steer riding

• Jr barrels

The evening events for Saturday and Sunday include:

• Featured three horse exchange

• Women’s Indian relay races

• Little buffalo pony runners

• Flat races, warrior race, lady race, chief race featuring 30 teams

Officials also claim the biggest fireworks show to ever come to Rocky Mountain House on Friday.

Ticket prices are $30 for adults, child tickets $10 and a weekend pass for $75. Tickets are available at the Rodeo grounds.
