Nearly two weeks after his family last heard from him, the search continues for 20-year-old Carter Rodgers.
RCMP said Rodgers travelled from Devon to the Rocky Mountain House area on Feb. 14.
Police said he told his family his vehicle had become stuck in a ditch. On Feb. 15, officers located the vehicle burned on an oil lease road on O’Chiese First Nation.
His mother, Jennifer, said searchers scour the area every day.
“Adrian, Carter’s father, is working with some O’Chiese band members. They meet at the fire hall at 9 a.m. each morning,” she said, adding she is asking anyone with information to come forward.
Jennifer said she last spoke with her son on Feb. 14.
“He talked to me every day,” she said.
She said the search continues, but so far there have been no credible leads.
Rodgers is described as having a medium complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He is five feet two inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black Metal Militia toque, a white tank top and a black-and-white dress shirt.
His vehicle is described as a blue 2025 Honda Civic with Alberta licence plate CWJ5343.
Jennifer is urging locals to help in any way they can — by checking their properties, speaking with neighbours and reporting any information to RCMP.
“We miss him. We need all the help we can get.”
