Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) has issued a snowfall warning for the western portion of Clearwater County.
The warning covers areas from Siffleur Falls to the Saskatchewan River Crossing border. It also extends along the Alberta border to north of Jasper and south of the Banff and Lake Louise areas.
Forecasters say a prolonged period of snowfall is expected to bring between 20 and 30 centimetres, with higher elevations possibly seeing more than 30 centimetres.
Snow is expected to begin late Monday and continue through Thursday morning.
Travel conditions are expected to deteriorate, with reduced visibility at times and the potential for road closures.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time and adjust travel plans accordingly.
