The Rocky community is being invited to attend Rocky Christian School’s musical production of Esther: Ordinary Faith on Thursday, March 26.
The show, featuring students from Kindergarten to Grade 9, retells the Old Testament story of Esther.
Directed by Jaquelyn Magnus, the production involves more than 150 students, with the main cast made up of students in Grades 8 and 9.
Principal Rob Duiker says the musical is a major event for the school.
“It’s a big deal at our school,” he said. “We generally fill the Lou Soppit Centre quite substantially.”
Rehearsals began in late January.
The production is the school’s 2026 spring musical. Rocky Christian typically stages both a Christmas and spring performance each year.
Admission is free, but a freewill offering will be accepted to support future productions.
The show runs Thursday, March 26 at 7 p.m. at the Lou Soppit Community Centre. A full dress rehearsal, also open to the public, will take place at 1 p.m. the same day.
