RCMP say one man is facing charges after a shooting at a hotel in Rocky Mountain House.
Police say officers responded March 21, 2026, to reports of shots fired. Investigators determined a suspect discharged a firearm five times at a mirror inside a hotel room, with bullets travelling through a wall and into a hallway.
No injuries were reported.
Mounties say the suspect, who was on parole at the time, was identified and a warrant was issued. He turned himself in the following day.
A 34-year-old man, Jonathan Bejo, is charged with reckless discharge of a firearm and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
He was remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear in court April 1, 2026, in Rocky Mountain House.
Police say his parole has also been suspended.
