The Rocky Medical Clinic has confirmed it will move into its new space on Rocky’s east side on June 2, 2026.
Officials say the new clinic location has been thoughtfully designed to better serve the community, and they are excited for the public to experience the new space.
To accommodate the move, the clinic will be closed from May 29 to June 1, 2026.
In a previous statement to 94.5 Rewind Radio, clinic officials said — after a number of delays — the space is nearing completion.
“Our patients are looking forward to the barrier-free space, as well as the close proximity to the Primary Care Network (PCN) multidisciplinary support team,” the statement says.
Additionally, the clinic hopes to recruit new physicians and nurse practitioners to the community to work in the “ready-to-practice” clinic.
The PCN moved into the building in November 2025.

The new barrier-free clinic facility is expected to be a vast improvement over the aging existing clinic on 49 Street. The single-storey building will include wider hallways, modern exam rooms and improved accessibility features for both patients and staff.
Clinic manager Kristen Penick says it will better serve the mobility needs of the region’s aging population and those using assistive devices.
Having the clinic and PCN under one roof will also be advantageous, says Dr. Anwar Haq, executive director of the Rocky Mountain House Primary Care Network, as medical clinic patients occasionally showed up at the PCN for appointments, and vice versa.
Starting in 2024, the Rocky Medical Clinic and the Primary Care Network launched a $1.9 million campaign for leasehold improvements inside the building. That includes items such as furniture, cabinets and medical equipment.
Current medical clinic building to be put up for sale
The future of the current Rocky Medical Clinic building on 49 Street has been discussed by the Town and County Intermunicipal Collaboration Committee (ICC).
A recent appraisal estimated the building’s value at $960,000.
The assessment listed the building’s condition as “good.” However, a number of maintenance items are recommended to be addressed in the near future, including window and stair repairs, as well as a $12,700 rooftop unit replacement.
Both Rocky Mountain House and Clearwater County councils approved listing the Rocky Medical Clinic at a price of $970,000 through a local real estate agent, under the condition that the present leaseholders are provided time to vacate the building.
