A tasty way to support the Rocky Mountain House Health Centre Auxiliary returns May 7 with its annual tea and coffee fundraiser.
The annual tea and coffee event will feature an afternoon of tea and baked goods, including angel food cake with strawberries and whipped cream, for a $6 donation. It runs from 1:30 to 3 p.m. at Memorial Presbyterian Church, 5108 50 St.
A takeout option — coffee and angel food cake — will also be available for those unable to stay.
Auxiliary member Lorna Beck says proceeds will support the group’s annual bursary program for local students pursuing health care careers.
The bursaries are open to graduates living in Clearwater County. Preference is given to those who have completed high school, but Grade 12 students are also eligible to apply.
In 2025, two $2,000 bursaries were awarded. Carter Valentine, a nursing student at Red Deer Polytechnic, and Jillian Lawton, who is studying to become a nurse practitioner, were the recipients.
