The Town of Rocky Mountain House is inviting residents to connect with elected officials during a series of “Coffee with a Councillor” sessions scheduled throughout the summer.
The informal gatherings are designed to give residents an opportunity to share ideas, ask questions and discuss community concerns directly with members of council in a relaxed setting. Town officials say the events are also intended to help residents stay informed about local initiatives and municipal issues.
The first session takes place Thursday, May 21, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at McDonald’s. Mayor Shane Boniface will attend alongside councillors Ken Moesker, Dale Shippelt and Kevin Stalker.
A second session is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, from 10 a.m. until noon in council chambers at town office. Councillors Denise Boniface, Trevor Kalyn and Ken Moesker are expected to participate.
The final summer session will be held Wednesday, July 29, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the south Tim Hortons location on 41 Avenue. Councillors Trevor Kalyn, Dale Shippelt, Justin Sinclair and Kevin Stalker are slated to attend.
Residents are encouraged to stop by any of the sessions to meet with councillors and discuss issues affecting the community.
