Wildfire danger in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area is now rated as moderate, with warmer temperatures and wind continuing to dry vegetation across the region.
Officials say wildfire RWF-036 remains classified as being held. Updated mapping now estimates the fire at 957 hectares.
The wildfire is located about five kilometres northeast of the James-Wilson Provincial Recreation Area, roughly 30 kilometres northwest of Sundre.
Firefighters and helicopters remain active in the area as crews continue extinguishment efforts.
Heading into the weekend, parts of the Forestry Trunk Road remain closed. Drivers are being asked to check 511 Alberta for updated road information.

Since the start of the year, crews in the Rocky Mountain House Forest Area have responded to 37 wildfires.
Officials are also reminding Albertans to use caution with campfires, off-highway vehicles and other outdoor activities that could spark a wildfire.
